CAN DIET IMPROVE YOUR MICROBIOME? Every bite we ingest is a choice.  Is it healthy or unhealthy? 

Our gut microbiome is directly influenced by our diet.  Luckily, it responds quickly to changes in diet. 

Healthy choices:

  • fermented foods(sauerkraut, yogurt, kefir)

  • veggies

  • , fresh when possible

  • garlic, ginger

  • fruit, chose fresh when possible

  • foods high in fiber (black beans, avocados, brussel sprouts, pears, flax seeds, apples, oats)

  • apple cider vinegar

  • nuts and seeds

Unhealthy Choices:

  • processed foods(including deli meat)

  • artificial sweeteners

  • sugar

  • alcohol

  • fried foods
